TERMS & CONDITIONS

Thank you for considering a stay in L’Oustaloun, our smaller apartment adjacent to La Bonbonnière in Lourmarin, France.  We recognize that you have many rental properties from which to choose and we are pleased that you are interested in our home.

Rates

The current rates are 425 Euros/week for April through October and 350 Euros/week for November through March. 

When both L’Oustaloun and La Bonbonnière are rented at the same time by the same party, we offer a 50 Euro/week reduction in price of L'Oustaloun.  Thus, the rates to rent both properties simultaneously are 1025 Euros/week for April through October and 850 Euros/week for November through March.

For extended stays, please inquire about reduced rates and access to a washer/dryer. 

Included as part of the agreement are bed linens, towels, and a fully equipped kitchen, as well as other amenities such as a hair dryer and iron.  Heat is included.

Reservations

To reserve the dates, we require a 200 Euro/per week deposit (or $300 USD/week).  To reserve both properties simultaneously, we require a 450 Euro/per week deposit (or $650.00 USD/week).  The balance would be payable anytime before one month prior to your arrival. 

Payment Options

In general, we accept personal checks, money orders, certified bank checks, etc.  in US dollars.  We also accept PayPal or Visa/MasterCard/American Express, but require a 4% service charge (the minimum we are billed) to use these services. 

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel more than 60 days before arrival, the deposit is refundable minus a 25 Euro administrative fee.

If you cancel between 60 and 30 days, the deposit is forfeited.

If you cancel within 30 days before arrival, you would forfeit the full amount of the apartment rental.

If you are able to find another client to rent the apartment during your dates, there would be only the 25 Euro administrative fee (or 50 Euros if both properties were reserved).

Check-In

Our rental weeks begin on Saturdays with a typical "check-in" time of approximately 3:00-5:00 p.m., although other times can certainly be arranged.  We would confirm a check-in time for you as soon as you know your travel arrangements.  All the details for making any changes to your arrival time, finding the apartment, and practical information about the apartment and the area are sent to you approximately a month in advance. 

Agreement

Only those parties who are listed on the rental agreement may stay in L’Oustaloun and at no time may more than two people, including children, stay in the apartment.

We require that children must be monitored at all times because the windows and staircase are open.

No pets are allowed.

No smoking in the apartment.

The use of the courtyard is reserved for La Bonbonnière clients.

We expect that you will care for L’Oustaloun as you would your own home.  You will be held responsible/liable for any damages to the apartment or its contents. 

Note

We regret that the apartment is not handicap-accessible.  There are stairs leading to the entrance and to the upstairs floor (see photos).
