Fountains

As one strolls through the narrow lanes of Lourmarin, one will pass numerous fountains reminding the visitor how the village was once irrigated and which, today, contribute to the many reasons why Lourmarin is listed as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France."

Look for the public washing house, le lavoir, where you can still find women doing their wash and then hanging the wash out on the public clothesline to dry.
