WINE

Oz Clarke’s Wine Companion:  South of France by Stephen Brook (1997)
This book covers many of the major wine regions, but does not provide any pertinent information about wine produced in the Luberon.  I find the book difficult to use as a reference.

Touring in Wine Country:  Provence by Hubrecht Duijker (1998)
This book does a great job covering many of the wine areas, including itineraries that the reader may wish to follow, with hotels and restaurants.  It does not, however, cover the Rhone Valley wineries, many of which are in the geographic region of Provence, but not within the wine region of Provence.  Easy to read and to use as a reference.

Wine Tours in the South of France by Florence Hernandez (2005)
This is a beautiful book with lots of well-organized and easy-to-comprehend information.  It includes all the major wine regions in the area, but is too large to take with you--take notes before you depart.

Adventures on the Wine Route:  A Wine Buyer’s Tour of France by Kermit Lynch (1988)
This is good background information and the writing and tone make it is a pleasure to read.  But, a more detailed (and up-to-date) source would be more practical.
